The Stumpf Farm
This Greek revival was built in 1848. In 1875, George Stumpf settled on the 75-acre farm. The property remained in the Stumpf family for three generations (126 years).
In the 1950s and 60s, the sign in front of the Stumpf farm read “5,000 Happy Employees.” Anthony Stumpf, Jr. (George’s grandson) had placed the sign, and his chickens were the happy employees.
In 1966, the farmland was sold to a developer. In 2001, the farmhouse was sold.
