This house is a brick gable front, side wing-style home and is a fine example of the preservation of architectural integrity. The building remains the same as when it was built circa 1868. There are no fireplaces, so the corbel-style chimneys would have been used for stoves. There have been many owners and it is most fortunate that there have been few changes made to the house. Doors, windows, the Italianate porch posts, shutters, three oculus (round) windows, and the water table are all original, as are the plank floors and the gracious staircase. Even the original privy is still attached to the back of the house and is accessed through the woodshed. A summer kitchen is in the back, and a stairway leads to a small attic.
