The Holt Homestead

The Holt family was among Webster’s earliest settlers.  This white clapboard Greek Revival-style home was built by William Holt in 1812.  The interior retains the original wood floors, moldings, and doors.  An early Andres Company wood stove is found in the kitchen, and a footed bathtub is in the bathroom.  The original summer kitchen is just outside the main kitchen.  The house faces south and history has it that Holt Road was originally on the west side of the house instead of its current location on the east side.
